How does the silent auction work?
Our Silent Auction allows you to place bids on a variety of exciting items and experiences. Each item has a starting bid and a bidding sheet where you can submit your bid "silently" by writing your name and your bid amount. Keep checking back on your items and keep bidding strategically to stay in the game. The highest bid at the end of the auction wins the item.
Bidding will be open online until Wednesday at 5pm, and final bids will take place at the in-person event on Thursday evening. Even if you can’t attend, you can still participate by placing your bids online. Be sure to make your bid count as those attending on the night will have the last chance to outbid you!
A select number of lots will also be auctioned off by a live auctioneer on the evening. Be sure to be there to stand a chance of winning these prizes! Every rand raised goes towards Herschel’s PA fundraising efforts, supporting the school’s infrastructure, community, learnership, and charity projects.
